    Computational Method in Chemical Engineering

    13 October 2014

    After doing simulation process in Fig. 1 using HYSYS (see Week 5 slide handout), do the hand-
    manual calculation of material and energy balance using Microsoft excel or word to confirm that
    you understand all calculation steps. You don’t need to take into account for the number (exact
    same with the result in HYSYS). The most important part that I would like to consider for material
    balance is the material balance calculation in Flash Separator (V-100) and all energy required in
    K-100 and E-100 for the energy balance calculation.

    Please hand-in your work together with your HYSYS file (.hsc format) to my e-mail
    (rama.oktavian86@gmail.com) and save your work in one folder with the name following this
    format: #NIM#Name#Class A/B#HYSYS Homework#1. The due date will be on Monday, 13
    October 2014, 23.59 (GMT+7).
