Point of Information

Point of information in General
When your opponent’s substantive is speaking in front, has passed his/her 1st
minute and has not entered his/her last minute, you may interrupt their speech. These
interruptions are called Point of Information, and last maximum length of 15 second, this
must be delivered very concisely. It is the privilege of the speaker in front, however to
accept the refuse POIs. Also POIs may only be given to opponents.

Functions of POIs
The functions of offering POIs are as follows:
a) To ask for clarity on certain things.
This may do in order to avoid misunderstanding on both teams’ cases, which
could lead to catastrophes.

Requesting and Accepting POIs
For the speaker in front, try to accepting POIs at the right time and with the right
amount. You do not want people to interrupt in the middle of a sentence or an
explanation to disturb you, so you can wait until you finish a sentence to accept (More
explanations on Manner section) or even refuse if you don’t feel like it. Answer
immediately and effectively to show your mastery of four speech. And don’t forget to
look cool and polite manner.
ii. If the opponent ask you something you seriously can’t answer, stay cool
and confident.
iii. You may cut off a POIs if you have already understood their point but
have not finished speaking.
