I. Methodology

This chapter represents the research design, research


locale, respondents of the study, sampling procedure,
research instrument data gathering procedure and
statistical treatment.

a. Research design

The researcher used Descriptive Research Design. Descriptive

research design is a scientific method which involves observing

and describing the behavior of a subject without influencing it in

any way. The type of question asked by the researcher will

ultimately determine the type of approach necessary to

complete an accurate assessment of the topic at hand. The

researcher has 20 items of multiple choice, 20 items of True or

False also 10 points for Essay.


b. Locale of the study/Respondents

This study was conducted at Ramon Magsaysay Memorial

Colleges (High School), General Santos City. As a private and

non-sectarian educational institution, RMMC has been serving

the people of South Central Mindanao since 1960. This institution

is dedicated to unleash your potential by providing affordable

holistic education. The classes in this school are held in two shifts,

morning and evening. In this study, the respondents were the 2rd

Year High School male students in Ramon Magsaysay Memorial

Colleges, General Santos City

c. Sampling technique

To accomplish this goal, qualitative research focus on

criterion-based sampling techniques to reach their target group.

The writer prepared 20 items of multiple choice, 20 items of True or

False also 10 points for Essay. Home made questionnaires for the

total 60 points. Those students that were take the home made

test paper automatically became the sample.


d. Data gathering procedure

The researcher was told by his adviser to conduct his study to

their school, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges- General

Santos City. The researcher immediately, prepared a letter to ask

for the school authorities to allow him to conduct or administer

the questionnaire. Upon their approval, the researcher began

to administer his instruments. After the respondents answered the

home made questionnaires, he immediately gathered it. Right

after the data were gathered he tallied it and subjected the

data for statistical interpretation. He sought a statistician for

ensure the accurate interpretation of data.

e. Statistical treatment

Mean and Percentage were the statistical tools used in order

to obtain the interest of 2nd year high school students to learn

basketball.
II. Summary of Findings

This chapter presents the summary, and recommendations

based on the result of the gathered data about this study

City for the academic year 2018-2019.

Based on the findings, the analysis was made:

1. Generally, the 2rd-year high school students are highly

interested to learn basketball. Thus, there are things that

affects their interest and it is a mere fact that we

individuals have different perception in learning things.


II. Recommendation

Based on the finding and analysis made, the proponent

humbly recommends the following:

1. The 2rd-year high school students are encouraged to

sustain their eagerness to learn basketball as it is part of

their curriculum.

2. The administration is encouraged to start improving its

gym or covered court with complete facilities.

3. The future researchers are encouraged to conduct “A
