Breadboards

Workshop#08
Introduction
 Prototype Board or a Solderless Veroboard is a board for
making and testing temporary electronic circuits
 The board consists of several holes (also called sockets)
arranged in rows and columns
Introduction
 Breadboards are a simple and
useful way to quickly assemble and
play around with different circuits.
 Building circuits with a breadboard
is as simple as sticking wires and
components into the holes. The
holes themselves are connected
according to the diagram at left
 Each column has 5 holes which are
connected to each other .
 No connection between adjacent
columns.
 In the same way, two rows have
connections, but no two rows are
connected with each other.

Inside Breadboard
 The connections between
holes are accomplished
through metal clips.

mouths to connect each
of the holes.

Veroboard
 A Veroboard is expertly constructed using strips of
copper clad on a top quality board featuring a grid
pattern of holes spaced 0.1" (or 2.54mm) apart.
 design allows you to solder almost any non-surface
mount ICs, resistors, capacitors onto the Veroboard.
