Ma’am/ Sir:

Good day!

I am Mary Rose C. Saycon from Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. I am writing to express my
interest in applying for a teaching position as Special Educational Needs Teacher in any district school
in the United States of America that may suit my skills and experiences.

For my educational background overview, I have completed Master of Arts in Special Education
(MASPED) having Mentally Challenged and Autism as my field of concentration in Negros Oriental
State University, Dumaguete City. Also, I finished my undergraduate with the Bachelor’s degree of
Elementary Education Major in Special Education as cum laude in Silliman University, Dumaguete City,
last March 2013.

As my resume shows, I am currently teaching with excellent opportunities with Learners with Special
Educational Needs in Plaza Central School for almost a year and haven been a regular teacher in Lugta
Elementary School for more than three years in the Division of Tanjay City, Department of Education,
Philippines. I have been in the service for more than four years. Moreover, as a student teacher during my
undergraduate degree, I successfully completed the requisite teaching practicums in both in-campus and
out-campus settings, from private to public elementary schools for one school year. I demonstrated caring
and competent student-centered teaching practices at Silliman University School of Basic Education and
West City Exceptional Child Learning Center. These experiences have further developed my
interpersonal, communication, and adaptive teaching skills. With my strengths and my values in
delivering quality and compassionate teaching, I am confident that I will be an exemplary addition to your
teaching staff.
