CRITICAL BOOK REVIEW (CBR)

What is CBR (Critical Book Review)?


A book review is more than a book report or summary of a book's contents.
A review is a critical essay evaluating the merits of an academic work. You can see
examples of reviews in virtually any historical journal, and these may help you to
write your own review.

Instructions:

a. Find two books in English reviewed, the books are about Creative art in
English Language (Make the picture’s covers in your review).You can use
hard book or e-book (the soft copy of your e-book will be sent to my email:

b. Do this assignment in a group.
c. Make the result of reviews in a table from the two books.
d. Limitation of pages in reviews: 5 pages.
e. Due date: 19 September 2019

2. The contents of books


a. Read original books
Read the original book as a whole to find out the general description, purpose, and
point of view of the author.
b. Noting the main ideas and main contents of each chapter.
c. Make reproduction or rewrite ideas that are considered important in a short essay
that has a unified unity.

3. Strengths and Weaknesses of Books


The author must provide an assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the
book accompanied by an objective review.

4. Conclusion
The author must express what he gets from the book being criticized and appeal to
the reader. Don't forget to include your name as the viewer.
