The movie “The Founder” is all about the story of Ray Kroc, a salesman who
turned the two brothers’ (Mac and Dick McDonald) owned concept of operation burger into a
biggest restaurant business in the world. Ray was amazed on how the two brothers’ system of
making the food and saw some franchise potential. By that, he expands more franchise of
McDonald throughout the state and created more tons of billion dollars. This movie is an eye
opener for those putting up a business or having the idea to invest in some kind of business. It
teaches much important aspect of business lessons such as:

Be curious sometimes. Being curious is helping you to get new and fresh ideas
that will help you to grow further more. In the movie, Ray was not able to sell his milkshakes
machines at many restaurants, but when he received an order of 6 machines from a restaurants,
he just got curious on why so many milkshakes had been ordered by a single restaurant and by
being curious, he just decided to visit this restaurant. In this point, curiosity making us getting
new opportunities that we did not have before. Exploring some new ideas and getting new
knowledge will help us to lead to success.

Aim for the Biggest. Aiming big requires thinking the boundaries of infinite
possibilities. It enables the acceptance of new challenges and creates capabilities to overcome
those challenges and create new opportunities. The two brothers didn’t agreed on giving the
decision of having a franchise to their restaurant, but Ray aim for the opportunity and push it to
the limit to create more franchise. Persistence may also come with a benefit since having this
virtue is one of the weapons of a successful entrepreneur. Yes, you will hit some boundaries and
obstacle but the only way out to conquer this is to persist because for those who unable to persist
will fail. Persist is one of the only way out to acquire success just what like Ray Kroc did in the
movie.

Progress. In the movie, I just observed that the two brothers are afraid to engaged
at risk just like when Ray proposing a renovation of the whole design area of the company. In
this part, the two brothers are likely afraid to had progress or simply putting their restaurant into
renovation of the design area. They are afraid to the risk that it will not click to their target buyer
but that is not the perspective that Ray is IN. Ray saw it some potential to make it grow, make it
bigger and make it a well-known restaurant. Engaging at risk is likely embracing you to
overcome your fear of failure. You are forecasting on achieving your goals on not just to play it
safe, but rather playing it having a risk because engaging at risk will make you become creative.
