Flexi Zone Micro BTS
Product Description
Small cells will play a critical role in providing operators a solution which can be easily and quickly
deployed in strategic locations to add capacity. Flexi Zone Micro base stations leverage the concept
of “light” deployment principles involving low-cost, easily available locations such as light poles, traffic
lights, building walls, and street level furniture, etc.
Flexi Zone Micro BTS provides an industry leading integrated compact form factor. Thanks to state of
the art System-on-Chip (SoC) baseband technology, the overall power consumption is kept low. This
integrated “all-in-one” access point, as part of the Flexi Zone architecture provides a cost effective
solution that can handle capacity growth, without all of the deployment complexity and costs typically
incurred using traditional macro cells. The Flexi Zone Micro BTS is based on the same core
architecture as the Flexi Macro solutions, enabling near transparent software deployment flexibility.
Deployment and operation of complex heterogeneous networks requires all involved network entities
to be efficiently configured with respect to their particular role and location within the network, and
to be context-aware. Flexi Zone Micro BTS features “No-touch” install and leverages SON for Het Net
to reduce network implementation and operational costs and ensure always best performance.
Integrated Bluetooth functionality in the Flexi Zone BTS supports troubleshooting in the field from
ground level (i.e., no bucket truck needed) using No-touch troubleshooting handheld application.

Interface Surge Table
1 Surge requirements are based on antennas mounted directly to antenna ports. If antenna feed lines
are added for remotely located antennas, external surge protection will be required to meet these levels
