MICROBREWERY

Components:

1. PRODUCTION –

must adequately hold the boiler, fermenters, bright tanks, canning/bottling, cold storage,
a mill/grain room and a laboratory.

2. EVENT SPACE

- includes a tasting room, conference room, offices and restrooms.

3. RETAIL SALES

-must accommodate at minimum a bar, displays, point-of-sale equipment and product


shelving.

Brewery equipment has significant issues of height and width which must be addressed
from the very start of the design process.

Ceiling heights of 12′ to 15′ in the brewhouse and cellar areas are standard for smaller
systems of 5 to 10 barrels. Microbreweries and production breweries will require
additional ceiling heights due to the larger vessel sizes.
