INTRODUCTION

About IIM Raipur

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur is a business school set up by Government of

India in 2010 at Raipur, Capital city of Chhattisgarh. Initially, the college didn’t have its own
campus but got shifted to new campus in the first week of September to Naya Raipur. The
new campus is spread out in the total area of 200 acres. The college has well-furnished
rooms with individual washrooms. The college has several facilities such as sports
complex(under construction, to be soon completed), one restaurant and a shopping centre
for basic needs.

PROJECT DETAILS

OBJECTIVE

To determine major attributes influencing the experience of students’ life at IIM Raipur

SCOPE

The scope of the project was limited to the students of batch 2017-2019, 2018-2020 (as
both the batches shifted from old to new campus) and 2019-2021 and the questionnaire
including only those attributes which are present in the current stage, not those which a
student expects to be there or associated with the institute.

BENEFIT OF PROJECT TO STUDENTS

Practical experience of tools and techniques learned in the classroom. The project also
helped us to understand how internal collaboration and external association result in fruitful
results.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The project involved collecting data from the respondents and analysing them to find out
how a particular factor is affecting the student’s life experience at IIM Raipur. Following was
the flow of research-

 Initially Focused Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted to with students to

collect the different attributes.
 Based on the data collected from FGDs, a questionnaire was prepared containing the
attributes gathered from FGDs
 Factor analysis and Regression techniques were performed using SPSS to get the
major relevant factors
