Type Assembly Instructions

This bulletin describes the use for the Moog ISO Creator tool. This tool can be used to create Cold Start
installation disc image files of applicable Moog Real Time computers.

Procedure
The tool has been made for customers to create their own RT software backup by generating a bootable RT
installation disk.
1. Unzip the “tkCreateIso.zip” file
2. Connect the computer to the RT computer of the motion system
3. Go to the unzip folder and open “tkCreateIso.exe”
4. The following screen appears (see figure 2.1):

 5. Fill in the following information:
a. IP: The IP address of the RT computer
b. Filename: The name of the ISO file that will be created
6. Press on “Create ISO image”
7. Wait until the ISO image is ready
8. Install the ISO image with a standard image burner on a CD-ROM
9. Your bootable RT installation disk has been made and is ready for use
10. Before you try the ISO image, make a backup of the RT software using FTP
11. Try the bootable RT installation disk:
a. Put the bootable RT installation disk in the CD-ROM drive of the RT computer
b. Reboot the RT computer
c. Follow the instructions on the screen
12. If it doesn’t work, please contact Moog.
