Reflection Paper

As a final project and culmination of my skills learned while at ITT- tech I was tasked

with creating something of my own choosing from start to finish in the diverse field of Digital

Graphics. The emphasis of my studies had always been on the 3D modeling and animation

aspect of the field so I chose to do a character model, rig and animation demo. As a requirement

for the project I was required to set up a schedule of activities to be completed allowing us to

stay on track with the project over time, Finally I was tasked with creating an evaluation

document for my peers so that I might receive feedback and grading at a midpoint of the project.

Overall this proved to be an interesting process.

Among all the things I learned from the project the thing that sticks out most in my mind

is that as much as I thought I knew about the field , in reality my skill set was actually quite

small and I still have much to learn . The project schedule was helpful in allowing me to stay

mostly on time but I will admit I often found myself altering it as circumstances changed moving

deadlines or sometimes eliminating certain points altogether as the project took shape. Much

like work in the field I was forced to remain flexible in my plans as things changed and problems

arose. The peer review was a useful asset to my design process though I wish that the evaluation

had been at an earlier date as I felt that by that point in the project I really had very little time to

alter the course of the projects scope. In closing I would summarize by saying that I believe this

project has furthered my skill set in the modeling and animation department and if I were to do

this again I would likely have given myself more time to complete the project and taken more

care on the individual parts of the assignment.
