Temporary Lay-Off Notice

Dear __________,

The purpose of this letter is to confirm the outcome of a recent review by ____________ of its
operational requirements, and what this means for you.
As a result of reviewing operational requirements of the employer, the position of
_________________is not needed for the mean time. Regrettably this means your employment will
temporary lay-off from ________ to _________. This decision is not a reflection on your
performance.
The employer has made the following attempts to find you an alternative position within the
enterprise, any associated entities and new client.
For our common information, The employer is allowed to temporarily suspend work due to bona
fide suspension of business operations or undertaking for a period not exceeding six (6) months. This
is provided for the Labor Code, as follows:
ART. 300 [286]. WHEN EMPLOYMENT NOT DEEMED TERMINATED
The bona fide suspension of the operation of a business or undertaking for a period not
exceeding six (6) months, or the fulfillment by the employee of a military or civic duty shall not
terminate employment. In all such cases, the employer shall reinstate the employee to his former
position without loss of seniority of rights if he indicates his desire to resume his work not later
than one (1) month from the resumption of operations of his employer or from his relief from the
military or civic duty.

You will also be paid for your entitlements and any outstanding pay, up to ____, unfortunately no
work no pay rule will apply during the temporary lay-off period.
