Projection of straight lines

1. A line AB of 25 mm long is perpendicular to HP and parallel to V.P. The end points A and
B of the line are 35 mm and 10 mm above HP respectively. The line is 20 mm in front of
V.P. Draw the projections of the line.

2. The end C of a line CD is 20mm in front of VP while the end D is 32mm above HP. The
line is parallel to HP and 45 0 inclined to VP. Draw its projection and mark its vertical
trace, if the length of the line is 50mm.

3. A line CD which is perpendicular to H.P. is lying 40 mm in front of V.P. One of its end
point C is 30 mm above H.P. while the other end point D is 100 mm above H.P. Draw its
projection and also mark its traces. What is its true length?

4. The length of the top view of a line parallel to V.P and inclined at 450 to H.P. is 50mm.
One end of the line is 12 mm above H.P. and 25mm in front of V.P. Draw the projection
of the line and determine its true length.

5. The front view of a 75 mm long line measures 55 mm. The line is parallel to the H.P. and
one of its ends is in the V.P. and 25 mm above the H.P. Draw the projections of the line
and determine its inclination with the V.P.

6. The front view of a 75mm long line measures 55mm. The line is parallel to H.P. and one
of its ends is in the V.P. and 25mm below the H.P. Draw the projections of the line and
determines its inclination with V.P.
