DESCRIPTION

The researchers would like to correlate the level of stress of the college students and

determine the facets of mindfulness in handling stress.


RECOMMENDATIONS

The following are recommendations based on the findings:

To the Family, the researchers would like to suggest to require the student’s parents and

guardian to attend a meeting in the start of the school year regarding stress management and

support in their children. Encourage the university to develop a program to identify students with

family problems or problems adapting to school so they can be given psychological support.

To the School Administrators, the researchers would like to suggest to include

topics about transition from High school to College during Freshmen Orientation to

assess their readiness to fit in the new academic environment. To collaborate with the department

and college heads in offering students seminars on how to prepare for examinations, including

the development of study skills and memory strategies so they can improve their academic

performance in difficult subjects. To add a wellness program such as meditation for students and

staffs.

To the Guidance Councilor, the result of this study will help the guidance councilor in

comming up with programs that will help the students cope up with their daily stressors.

To Faculty Members, the researchers suggest that teachers can serve an important role as

mentors for freshmen in ways that can help students make a successful transition to college.

Expand professional learning for teachers on how to create pro-social classrooms and help

students manage stress and build resiliency.

Future Researchers, the researchers suggest to use this as a future reference and conduct

the study with wider range of factors to obtain better results and have the respondents undergo

Classical Music Therapy as an Stress Management Program.
