THE CLEVER SNAIL

A mousedeer found a hungry tiger. The tiger want to eat the mousedeer but the mousedeer
suggest that a human being is more delicious that him and the most powerful living thing in the
world. The tiger became angry when he heard the mousedeer and they go the roadside to find
one. At first, they found a boy and an old man but the mousedeer who always have an idea to
save himself say that it will not fill the tiger stomach. Then, they found a strong hunter with a
gun. The tiger leapt towards the alert hunter and finally been shot. The tiger lying dead on the
ground.

A happy mousedeer then drink water at the pond. Suddenly he feel something bit his
leg and the mousedeer know what it is. It was a crocodile. He bear the pain and said that the
crocodile had bit the stick and raised the other leg in front of the crocodile. The foolish crocodile
released the leg that he was biting on and tried to bite other leg. The mousedeer jumped away
at once and escape to a safe place. Before the mousedeer leave, he said that crocodile was
very stupid and even worse than the donkey.

One day, the mousedeer meet the snail when on way back to the forest. He wanted to
boast the snail and challenge the snail to race. The mousedeer surprised when the snail agreed
ad say that he will win the race. The snail was not an ordinary snail, it made plans with all his
friend and relatives in the forest. He wanted to teach the proud mousedeer a lesson. Since all
snails look alike, each time the snail was still the winner. The mousedeer did not want to admit
that he lost to the snail and challenge the snail to race once more until become very tired. The
mousedeer could not even move at all in the end. Finally he admit that he lost to the snail. It
was terrible defeat for the proud mousedeer. He had not lost to a fierce tiger, a cruel crocodile
or any of the bigger animals in the forest. He had lost to a snail.

Moral of the story:

1. We must be brave. The mousedeer stay calm and still can find a way although the tiger
and the crocodile threatened his life and want to eat him.
2. Other than that, we must be wise. The mousedeer use many tricks to save himself and
the snail use a good plan to teach the mousedeer a lesson.
3. We also must stay humble and not make fun of other people. For example mousedeer
want to boast the snail and challenge the snail to race. The mousedeer also laugh when
the snail said that he can win the race.
