Now the evening shadows closing, Hail Eternal! by whose aid

Warn from toil to peaceful rest, All created things were made;
Mystic arts and rites reposing, Heav’n and earth, Thy vast design;
Sacred in each faithful breast. Hear us, Architect Divine!

God of Light! whose love unceasing, May our work, begun in Thee,
Doth to all Thy works extend, Ever blest with order be,
Crown our Order with Thy blessing, And may we, when labours cease,
Build; sustain us to the end. Part in harmony and peace.

Humbly now we bow before Thee By Thy glorious Majesty —

Grateful for Thy aid Divine; By the trust we place in Thee —
Everlasting power and glory, By the badge and mystic sign —
Mighty Architect! be Thine. Hear us, Architect Divine!
