Me and My Family

As I grew older, life thought me about

the importance of people surrounding
me. Those people who loves me, just
like my friends, especially my family.
Family is not just about being in a group
of people living in one roof but it is
about sharing love, care, and respect to
one another.

I, Mutya Chriszel P. Timbang, is living a

simple life and is lucky to have a simple,
complete, and a loving family. My family
is not perfect in some aspects but I can
say that it is a family that others wish to
have. We are six members in our
family. My father is Pretzelito T.
Timbang. He is a loving and a
protective father. A kind of father who
does everything just to sustain the needs of his children. A father who has
several words of wisdom. A father who thinks what is best for his children.
A father who sacrifices a lot just for his family. He is the father I am so
grateful to have. He is a seafarer but for the meantime he is currently busy
with his egg business while waiting for a call from his company. Now, let
me introduce my beautiful mother, her name is Christy P. Timbang. One of
the most supportive and best mother in the world. She is a mother who will
do everything just to support her children’s needs. A mother who is always
there whenever you need help. A mother who always understand. A mother
who never gets tired in listening to her children’s rants. She works as a
midwife at the Local Government Unit. We call our parents “tatay” and
nanay”. That is what they thought us to call them when we were kids. I
have an older brother named King Christzel, he is the largest in our family.
So humongous to the point that you would be intimidated whenever he is
being serious. He is the kind of brother who doesn’t know how to express
his feelings verbally, instead he expresses it through actions. I can say that
my brother is protective, sensitive, and kind although he doesn’t show it to
us but I can feel it in my bones. We
seldom talk to each other at home, we
only have a conversation whenever it’s
necessary. Although we have that kind
of treatment I’m still thankful that he is
my brother despite his attitude. Then
here is my sister next to me named,
Princess Christel. She is hardworking,
sweet, and a cheerful young girl. When
she wants something she really would
find a way to get it. There are times
that she is stubborn and that is always
the main reason why we argue and
fight. Although she has that kind attitude I still care and love my sister. And
last but not the least, here is my youngest sister. Her name is Pretzel Chris,
but we call her Tala. A lot of people always wonder why we call her by that
name instead if her real name. Well, there is a story behind that nickname.
That nickname came from a television show entitled “Krystala”. My mother
was really fond of watching that television show and she was planning on
using the title as Tala’s real name but my father disagreed about it that is
why they came up by using it as her nickname. She is the sweetest among
us yet the most hard headed one and always the bully. She is very
sensitive when it comes to her things. She easily gets irritated whenever I
am joking and is the most cry baby one. Since she is the youngest, she
often get what she wants and sometimes is given a special treatment. Even
though she is being spoiled, one thing that I loved the most about Tala is
her generosity. Being surrounded with these kind of people makes me think
that i am so blessed. Just by seeing them smiling, laughing and talking to
one another makes me motivated to keep on going and fight for my dream.

Being surrounded by people whom you love makes a great impact in your
life. Being able to laugh with some friends, talk to some acquaintances and
create memorable bonding with them gives colour to our life. But being able
to share love, care, joy, sorrows, and great memories with your family
creates a wonderful image that no one can duplicated or steal it.
