This study aims to determine the Anti-proliferative activity of the crude ethanolicextract

from the peel of Ananascomosus.

Specifically, the following questions will be answered:

1. What are the characteristics of the peel of Ananascomosus in terms of:

a. Ash content;

b. Moisture content and;

c. Heavy metal content?

2. What is the percentage yield of crude ethanolic extract from the peel

ofAnanascomosus?

3. What are the organoleptic properties of the crude ethanolic extract of the

peel of Ananascomosus in terms of: appearance, color, odor and

consistency.

4. What are the plant constituents present in the crude ethanolic extract from

the peel of Ananascomosus.

5. Does the crude ethanolic extract from the peel of Ananascomosus possess

an anti-proliferative activity using MTT assay?

6. Is there a significant difference between Doxorubicin and the crude ethanolic

extract against breast cancer cell line?
