PULVERIZED OYSTER SHELL WITH CALAMANSI EXTRACT AND KAMIAS EXTRACT AS A

STAIN REMOVER

Statement of the Problem

This study generally seeks to explore the abundance and diversity of seagrass species

identified from three coastal communities in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What are the different seagrass species found in the select coastal communities in Sagay

City?

2. What is the most abundant seagrass species in each study site and as a whole?

3. What is the cover percentage of seagrasses in each field samples and the entire study

site??

4. What is the species diversity index of the seagrass field samples?

5. Is there a significant difference in the cover percentage of seagrasses in the different field

samples?

6. Is there a significant difference in the means density in the study site?

7. Is there a significant relationship between seagrass species and the site where it was

identified?

(Begin with a general statement of the problem then followed by listed specific problems. Make

sure that you start your specific questions with descriptive questions and followed by either

comparative, causal or relation questions.)

This study generally aims to know if pulverized oyster shells with calamansi and kamias

extract will be effective if used as a stain remover for different type of cloths and stains.

Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions:

1. What will be the effects if pulverized oyster shells with calamansi and kamias extract will

be used on white cloths that are made of cotton as a stain remover for:

A. Coffee stains

B. Ink stains

C. Food stains; specifically ketchup, soy sauce, all-around sauce (sarsa)

D. Mud stains

2. What will be the effects if pulverized oyster shells with calamansi and kamias extract will

be used on white cloths that are made of polyester as a stain remover for:

A. Coffee stains

B. Ink stains

C. Food stains; specifically ketchup, soy sauce, all-around sauce (sarsa)

D. Mud stains

3. What specific stains were easy and hard to remove from both white cloths made out of

cotton and polyester?

4. How long did it take for the stains to be removed from both white cloths made out of cotton

and polyester?

5. In terms of the effectiveness in stain removal using pulverized oyster shells with calamansi

and kamias extract, is there a significant difference between cloths made out of cotton and

cloths made out of polyester?
