Environmental Conditions
The FSP product family fulfills several environmental conditions (ambient temperatures
and relative humidity levels) for storage, transportation and stationary operation of the
equipment. These environmental conditions are specified in:
• Telcordia GR-63-CORE, Issue 4, April 2012 (Telcordia SR-3580:2012 level 3
(NEBS))
• ETSI EN 300 019-1-1 V2.2.1 (2014-04) Storage Class 1.2
• ETSI EN 300 019-1-2 V2.2.1 (2014-04) Transportation Class 2.2
• ETSI EN 300 019-1-3 V2.4.1 (2014-04) Stationary use at weatherprotected locations
Class 3.1
These minimum and maximum values of temperature and humidity are not met
simultaneously.
All specifications in this document are valid for end of life and over the
whole temperature range if not otherwise stated.

Module Delay
Module delay of a pluggable transceiver is the sum of delays which are caused by the
optical-electrical conversion of the receiver and the electrical-optical conversion of the
transmitter.

SONET/SDH OC-12/STM-4 at the optical fiber interface and Gigabit Ethernet at the 20-
pin electrical interface. The internal protocol processing engine sup-ports Transparent
SONET/SDH over Packet (TSoP), a method for encapsulating SONET/SDH bit-streams
as pseu-do wires over a packet switching network. The SFP supports bidirectional
communication over singlemode fibers, operating at a wavelength of 1310 nm. It provides
monitoring of operating parameters such as optical input power, temperature and laser
bias. This pluggable transceiver supports an operating temperature within the industrial
temperature range. Proper functionality and valid certification of transceivers can be
guaranteed with SFP types approved by ADVA Optical Networking only.
