THEATRICAL SCRIPT
SLEEPING BEAUTY

CHARACTERS:

Aurora (Sleeping beauty): YAIPEN KAREN Storyteller: CHAVEZ JUDITH

Fairy : PINTADO PRISCILA Queen: ESPEJO RAQUEL
Prince and King: PRADO ORDINOLA ANTHONY Maleficent: CAMACHO KIMVERLY

FIRST ACT

Storyteller: Many years ago, in a very distant kingdom, lived a king and a queen. They wanted so much
to have a child. Finally, their wish was fulfilled with the birth of a girl, named Aurora.

King: ¡Our daughter is the most beautiful princess of the kingdom!

Queen: Do you know why I named her Aurora? Because like the dawn, she fills our lives with light and
heat.

King: I’m very happy, my queen. Let's have a party and invite the whole kingdom. Everyone should know
our daughter.

(The trumpets sound and the fairy arrives)

Storyteller: Aurora's birthday begins

Fairy: (Speaking to Aurora): My gift to you will be a good heart and a melodious voice

Storyteller: There is a thunderclap noise.

Maleficent appears

Maleficent: It’s a beautiful party, King. The royalty, nobility, even the plebeians (She Laughs).
I'm the only person who wasn't invited.

Fairy: We don’t want you here

Maleficent: I'm leaving but first I'll give a gift to the princess. When she will turn 16, she will be
punctured with a needle and die. (She goes).

Fairy: Maleficent is very powerful but with this spell. The princess will not die, she will only sleep until
the first kiss of true love.

Storyteller: After the party, the king burned all the wheels of the kingdom.

SECOND ACT:

Storyteller: The princess remained locked in the castle for fifteen years. On Aurora's birthday, her
parents must take a walk. They did not worry because Aurora always remained locked

Aurora (angry): I must always remain locked in the castle. Today I will go out to explore the nature of
the kingdom (She leaves the castle) …

Aurora: Oh, it's a crow. I will follow him ... I will enter that tower. How strange I had never seen a needle
(She pricks herself)

The fairy appears.

Fairy (Crying): Oh no Aurora. I'll call the queen and the king.

The queen and the king appear. They take her to the castle.

Queen: My sweet little girl, we shouldn't have left you alone. Fairy, you cast a spell to sleep and wake
us up at the same time as she does.

Storyteller: The fairy casts the spell and everyone sleeps.

THIRD ACT:

Storyteller: 100 years passed. One day, a prince appeared. For curiosity, he tries to enter the castle but
Maleficent appears.

Maleficent In the highest tower, dreaming of his true love. There is a beautiful princess named
Aurora.

Prince: I must rescue her.

Maleficent (She laughs): First you will have to defeat me to break the spell. And that she does not sleep
forever.

Maleficent raises his magic wand and the prince falls.

Maleficent: It will not be easy.

Prince: If I have to fight to save Aurora I will, even against you.

Storyteller: They begin to fight and the prince sticks his sword to Maleficent, killing her.

Prince: Evil witch dies

Storyteller: The prince enters the castle and finds Aurora. He kisses her on the forehead and she wakes
up.

(The bells ring and the whole kingdom wakes up)

The queen and the fairy appear.

Fairy: The spell has been broken and the princess has awakened

Queen: My beautiful daughter and her true love. We must celebrate.

Storyteller: A great party is held. In the end, the prince and the princess Aurora got married and they
live happily ever after.

LA BELLA DURMIENTE

PRIMER ACTO

Narrador: Hace muchos años, en un reino muy lejano, vivía un rey y una reina. Querían tanto tener un
hijo. Finalmente, su deseo se cumplió con el nacimiento de una niña, llamada Aurora.

Rey: ¡Nuestra hija es la princesa más bella del reino!

Reina: ¿Sabes por qué la llamé Aurora? Porque como el alba, ella llena nuestras vidas con luz y
caliente.

Rey: Estoy muy feliz, mi reina. Vamos a hacer una fiesta e invitar a todo el reino. Todos deberían conocer
a nuestra hija.

(Las trompetas suenan y llega el hada)

Narrador: Comienza el cumpleaños de la aurora

Hada: (Hablando con Aurora): Mi regalo para ti será un buen corazón y una voz melodiosa.

Narrador: Hay un ruidoso trueno.

Aparece maléfica.

Maleficent: Es una hermosa fiesta, Rey. La realeza, la nobleza, incluso los plebeyos (ríe). Yo soy la única
persona que no fue invitada.

Hada: No te queremos aquí.

Maléfica: Me voy, pero primero le daré un regalo a la princesa. Cuando ella cumpla 16 años, será
punzada con una aguja y morirá. (Ella se va).

Hada: Maléfica es muy poderosa, pero con este hechizo. La princesa no morirá, solo dormirá hasta el
primer beso del verdadero amor.

Narrador: Después de la fiesta, el rey quemó todas las ruedas del reino.

SEGUNDO ACTO:

Narrador: La princesa permaneció encerrada en el castillo durante quince años. En el cumpleaños de

Aurora, sus padres deben dar un paseo. No se preocuparon porque Aurora siempre permanecía
encerrada.

Aurora (enojada): Siempre debo permanecer encerrada en el castillo. Hoy saldré a explorar la
naturaleza del reino (Ella deja el castillo).

Aurora: Oh, es un cuervo. Lo seguiré ... Entraré en esa torre. Qué extraño que nunca hubiera visto una
aguja (Ella se pincha).

Aparece la hada.

Hada (llorando): Oh no Aurora. Llamaré a la reina y al rey.

Aparecen la reina y el rey. La llevan al castillo.

Reina: Mi dulce niña, no deberíamos haberte dejado sola. Hada, lanza un hechizo para dormir y
despertarnos al mismo tiempo que ella.

Narrador: El hada lanza el hechizo y todos duermen.

TERCER ACTO:

Narrador: Transcurren 100 años. Un día, aparece un príncipe. Por curiosidad, intenta entrar en el
castillo, pero aparece Maléfica.

Maléfica: En la torre más alta, soñando con su verdadero amor. Hay una bella princesa llamada Aurora.

Príncipe: Debo rescatarla

Maléfica (Ríe): Primero tendrás que derrotarme para romper el hechizo. Y que ella no duerma para
siempre.

Maléfica levanta su varita mágica y el príncipe cae.

Maléfica: No será fácil.

Príncipe: Si tengo que luchar para salvar a Aurora, lo haré, incluso contra ti.

Narrador: Empiezan a pelear y el príncipe le pega la espada a Maléfica, matándola.

Príncipe: Muere bruja malvada

Narrador: El príncipe entra al castillo y encuentra a Aurora. Él la besa en la frente y ella se despierta.

(Las campanas suenan y todo el reino se despierta)

Aparecen la reina y el hada.

Hada: El hechizo se ha roto y la princesa ha despertado.

Reina: Mi hermosa hija y su verdadero amor. Debemos celebrar

Narrador: Se celebra una gran fiesta. Al final, el príncipe y la princesa Aurora se casan y viven felices
siempre juntos.
