Visit of Latif Farm SAU Tandojam

INTRODUCTION
I visit Latif farm at Sindh agriculture university Tandojam with our Subject
teacher Sir Khalid Hussain Talpur and my class fellows. It was a good experience
for me and my friends. Basically, Latif farm is research centre which is located
near Noor shah college. Latif farm is under control of Sindh agriculture university
Tandojam.
The chairperson of Latif farm is Dr Inayatullah rajpur and the Director of Latif
farm is Dr Irshad shah he is working on various crop varieties. The total area of
latif farm is 617 acres.
In which we also visit the Latif farm office where the Director of the Latif farm
brief us about the varieties of the cotton at that time we visit mostly Cotton were
grown. He tells us about the different types of Cotton varieties and We also visit
the barren where creaks we observed in that area.
Visit of barren land:
Firstly, we visit the barren land I think which comes in the property of latif farm
but it is not sure according to history which our teacher told us that that land is
fertile in older time but nowadays it is barren because of lack of observer and
human activity in that land that cause that land barren.
Cotton section:
Total 80 acres of cotton were cover at the time of visit many varieties of cotton
were cultivated for experiment purpose abadgar 90 and sadori varieties of
cotton is high yield verity.
We also observed the deficiency of Zinc and potassium in cotton crop and we
observed the pest attack on cotton crop.
Seed storage section in Latif Farm:
In That section we can store the seed for long-term use for this storage that use
some techniques to store seed like seed cleaning, leaser treatment and other
techniques.
Seed Production section in Latif farm:
In Latif farm there is a unit where the seed are produced and Latif
farm also trade that seed to many big firms. About 40 acres covers the
seed production section
