AGUILON GOLF MEMBERS REPORT

It is good to see the abundance of wildlife flourishing on and around the golf
course with too many different species to name, all with their place in the
pecking order.

Wednesday September 25th – Campbell Lamont qualifier

The first round of a new season which will hopefully see a couple of our players
in the regional and grand finals next June and a tight finish which went to a
card play off.

1st Dave Simpson 38 pts on a card play off

2nd Derrick Stephenson 38 pts

3rd Norman Ridgway 37 pts

Twos: Geoff Ashton, Phil Miles 3rd, Roy Bishop, Les Raufer 12th, Eddie Vaughan
14th, Bill Gibb, Norman Ridgway 17th

The last comp in September saw the completion of two of our major
competitions “The Order of Merit” which is the players best ten scores over
the last twelve month period and produces our “Player of the Year” and this
year we have a convincing winner

1st Norman Ridgway 384 pts

2nd Glyn Ombler 377 pts

3rd Peter Death 376 pts

The Other competition is the “Summer Eclectic” which is the players best
points score on each of the eighteen holes and it was tight at the top needing a
card play off.

1st Lynne Whibley 62pts on a card play off

2nd Chris Tyler 62 pts

3rd Bernie O’Brien 61 pts
