Catch-a-Cure
It was a great day to Catch-a-Cure. More
than 300 people came out to the boardwalk
to participate in a family 5k run/walk on
Sunday, September 29, to raise money for lo-
cal families dealing with cancer.
Rockaway came out strong on Sunday to
show that cancer will not keep them down.
Runners and walkers dotted the boardwalk
between Beach 126th and Beach 102nd as
they ran for family members and friends that
are impacted by cancer and to raise funds for
Rockaway WISH to help those families. This
year’s race was run in memory of members
of the community we recently lost to cancer
including Ann Marie Sullivan of Broad Chan-
