I. Objectives

a. To explain what a wind show is

b. To explain what are the exhibit in the wind show is all about

c. To explain how it will help in making our world a better place.

II. Introduction

Trade fair (trade show, trade exhibition, or expo) is an exhibition organized

so that companies in a specific industry can showcase and demonstrate their latest

products and services, meet with industry partners and customers, study activities

of rivals, and examine recent market trends and opportunities. In contrast to

consumer fairs, only some trade fairs are open to the public, while others can only

be attended by company representatives and members of the press, therefore

trade shows are classified as either "public" or "trade only".

On May 24, 2018, the ME149F class attended a trade fair exhibit held at the

SMX Convention center. It featured an exhibit and an Innovations Fair. The fair

showcased different projects that aim to promote sustainability energy in

Philippines. Many booths were presented that time, but what mostly caught my

attention was the booth of wind show Philippines.

III. Theory/Hypothesis

Wind power is the use of air flow through wind turbines to mechanically

power generators for electricity. Wind power, as an alternative to burning fossil

fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean, produces no greenhouse

gas emissions during operation, consumes no water, and uses little land. The net

effects on the environment are far less problematic than those of nonrenewable

power sources.

Wind power gives variable power, which is very consistent from year to year

but has significant variation over shorter time scales. It is therefore used in

conjunction with other electric power sources to give a reliable supply. As the

proportion of wind power in a region increases, a need to upgrade the grid and a

lowered ability to supplant conventional production can occur.

Power-management techniques such as having excess capacity,

geographically distributed turbines, dispatchable backing sources, sufficient

hydroelectric power, exporting and importing power to neighboring areas, or

reducing demand when wind production is low, can in many cases overcome

these problems. In addition, weather forecasting permits the electric-power

network to be readied for the predictable variations in production that occur.

IV. Discussion

4
Wind is a clean, free, and readily available renewable energy source. Every

day around the world, wind turbines are capturing the wind’s power and

converting it to electricity. With over 35,000 wind turbines installed globally, GE

is one of the world's leading turbine suppliers.

Wind turbines allow us to harness the power of the wind and turn it into

energy. When the wind blows, the turbine's blades spin clockwise, capturing

energy. This triggers the main shaft, connected to a gearbox within the nacelle, to

spin. The gearbox sends that energy to the generator, converting it to electricity.

Electricity then travels down the tower to a transformer, where voltage levels are

adjusted to match with the grid.

V. Conclusion

Globalization is upon us and people are now also developing. We should be

able to cope up with the development of the world. And with development, every

one of us should also be developing, no one should be left behind with the

development. We should all develop together as one country.

10 Fields Factory provide the original solar panels and wind turbines. Their

service is well developed and satisfied throughout the inquiry to the installation

and maintenance.

VI. Recommendation

As a recommendation, I would like to say that trade fairs like this should be

more done to be able to promote the projects of the students and to be able to

inspire future engineers in doing projects for ours environment .

I would also recommend that more projects or researches should be done that

would somehow benefit not only us, but also the world.
