Description: FILI - Finnish Literature Information Centre promotes the awareness of Finnish

Description: The Foundation for the Production and Translation of Dutch Literature promotes
interest in Dutch-language literature abroad. It maintains contacts with a large number of
international publishers, and has a stand at major international book fairs, including the
Frankfurt Book Fair, the London Book Fair and the Children´s Book Fair in Bologna. Every year
the Foundation produces dossiers with sample translations from a selection of titles which have
proved artistically and commercially successful. Foreign publishers wishing to publish
translations of Dutch or Frisian literature, including children´s literature and quality non-
fiction, may apply for a subsidy towards the translation costs. If the translator is unknown to
the foundation, a sample translation is required. This will be evaluated by an external advisor.
The maximum possible subsidy is 70% of the total cost of translation. In exceptional cases, the
Foundation may decide to make a contribution towards publishing costs. Applications for
subsidies for translations which have already been published will not be considered.

native languages. Trubar Foundation contributes up to 50% of printing costs. It does not
