Sorting

To facilitate the process of sorting, Mendeley Desktop provides columns that allow us to
sort according to the sets as AUTHORS, TITLE, YEAR , PUBLISHED IN and ADDED.

You only need to click on the columns to sort by alphabetical A to Z or Z to A.

Tag Read/Unread / Favorite

Since we need to manage the journals / publications that much, sometimes we do not
remember the journal in which we have read or not.

Mendeley Desktop provides a button Read / Unread. This allows us to make the marking
Read or Unread. You can also mark your favorite journal (Favourite) your star sign.

Activity 11: Mendeley As PDF Reader/Organizer

One of the great functions of Mendeley is the ability to read the journal and mark the
contents of the material in a journal. Marking is very useful if we want to record a
sentence or paragraph that contains useful facts for your review. In this way, we can save
time reading journals / paper studies a lot without having to read line by line. Mendeley
classifies this function as a PDF Organizer. This can be done in the following way:

1. Double click on selected reference with attached PDF File.

2. Click Select button and drag the important words or sentences .

3. Select highlight button and the selected words/sentences will highlighted with
yellow colour

4. To remove the words / sentences highlighted, right click on words / sentences and
select Remove Highlight
