State of the Nation Address (SONA) is often broadcast, serves to inform the nation
about its present economics, political, and social conditions.

Today, as President Rodrigo Roa Duterte delivered his 4th SONA, the main
content of this was the problem about drugs and corruption. And because of the
undeniably problem about drugs the President was advocating to impose the death
penalty for drug related crimes and plunder. Drug related crimes was never new, we all
know all the crimes that we can relate to the use of drug, mostly of the crime arisen
nowadays has something to do with the drugs. People who are under the influence of it
were most likely to commit such crimes that can claims thousand of life of the Filipino
people. And so for the imposition of death penalty for drug related crime, I, myself would
support this not because that I believed that this is better to lower down crime rates but
because it can improve also number of those people who viewed life as something that
anyone can take off whenever they want to. I support death penalty for our country to be
better but only to hideous crimes, the government should really take this thing seriously
for this is a sensitive one also. One of the cons of this death penalty was those people
who are given wrong judgement, we all know how our justice works and we can deny that
this may happen anytime.

President Duterte also give a take on corruption, corruption is like drugs once you
get to taste it, its hard to find way out. Corruption in our country was also no surprise for
all we know that mostly of the big person do something behind the curtain. As per Pres.
Duterte “I am grossly disappointed with corruption” for this is so hard to control. He even
mentioned that it would be better, or the country could improve more unless corrupt.

He also emphasized the need to improve the service of the Top five agencies,
namely, LTO, SSS, BIR, PAG-IBIG, and LRA. He wants this agencies to improve their
services to a more friendly response, he says to Filipino to be assertive, they should make
a scene or they should know when to react when other people or those people who have
position in the government especially to this top five agencies, are taking on you.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte: “I will end my term fighting” for our president was
fighting for our country to get better, it would be pleasured to support him and do things
that can improve our country also. It is everyone’s responsibility to take part for the
betterment of the Philippines and not just the President. As for change is coming,
CHANGE should begin from within.
