REFLECTION PAPER #6

According to great artist Pablo Picasso, “Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth.” It is true,
there are many things that we can’t explain but through art, we are able to understand it. Most
people think that art is just another commodity but artists view art as their life’s work. Picasso’s
art works reflected his passion for life and there are moments that can be highlighted.

First is the “Loaded Gun” in which Pablo walked around with a loaded gun most of the time
because he spiced things up in his life. Second is the “surviving Picasso” in which just not a
move but also reflected the love life of Pablo. Third is the “Controlled Chaos in Picasso” in which
painting used the shapes and angles that Cubism what it is. Fourth is the “The Circus
Sideshow” which channeled his deep fascination with the new form of entertainment called
traveling circus. Fifth is the “The blue Period and the rose period” in which he struggled
economically during these periods. Sixth is the “Suicide in Picasso” in which his dear friend
committed suicide that affected him so much. Seventh is the “Mathematical Painting” in which
he used as his hidden element on his paintings. Eighth is the “Distorted Reality” in which he
rejected the norm and chose to draw his works in a rude way. Ninth is “France” where he moved
from Spain and get started with the world of art. Lastly, Modern Europe where he spent most of
his life as a painter.
