Journal Entry 1:

I could feel time quickly pass through my fingers, the cold wind hitting my skin. I closed my eyes and
in the time of a blink (a blink of an eye), the hot air of the beautiful country of Africa hit me. I would
be on the outside areas of which would be our home approximately 200,000 to 100,000 years ago. I
looked around and saw the early Homo sapiens surrounding the land around me. Some were
walking around, some were picking berries, and some were
sharpening and making new tools on stones. This didn’t frighten
me at all, I’ve been on more than one time travel investigation.
First, I hid behind a tree and quickly ripped my clothes to make
them as ragged as possible. Luckily there was a big piece of
animal skin laying around, so I used my hair tie around my wrist
to make a cloak out of it, so it could hang around my body. I
covered my face in dirt and messed up my hair- ripping most of it
out. If I didn’t look like one of them (early homo sapiens) I could
easily be threatened and not make it back to 2019 alive. I peeked
out from the tree and saw their dirty faces. Early Homo sapiens,
didn’t look too different to us today. They had a straight forehead, with only slight browridges. Their
face was short and wide, their brain larger than normal for a modern human. I came out from of the
trees and started to investigate. I decided to explore the cave first as it was close by… Cave
entrances, little huts made of sticks, leaves and animals skins and some shelter in the trees
themselves. There were even deep holes in the ground, covered with animal skins, for cover.
