DESCRIPTION:

DYNAMICS AX 2012 CU7 UPGRADE FROM AX 2009 RU7

 Dynamics AX 2012 upgrade process was carried for DAR from AX 2009 source system
with a successful deployment of data’s from AX 2009 into AX 2012.

 Below are the detailed explanation for Module / Process wise table structures and data’s
reconciliation involved before and after testing of upgradation process.

ChartOfAccounts(COA): COA Cleaning Process for Upgrade from AX 2009 to AX 2012

1. Chart of Accounts is the base of ledger table where all the ledger accounts are placed, in AX
2009 before upgrade process we have virtualized the table in order to get the data’s
independent of divisions and to use the accounts throughout the divisions.

2. The equivalent table for COA is Ledger table in AX 2009 and in AX 2012 its Main account table.

3. The equivalent table for COA is LedgerAccountCategory in AX 2009 and in AX 2012 its
MainAccountCategory table.

Employee Master Related Tables:

1. All the employee masters of AX 2009 Online divisions (Eight divisions) are made uniform to store
the information’s so before upgrade of data’s all the divisions will have same set of employees.

2. Employee master of AX 2012 is virtualized by standard and it will take the unique set of
employees from AX 2009 for upgrade process and the process will have the ratio of eight is to
one.

completely changed and if it’s of custom dimension then the data’s are stored globally, if the
dimension is of system type then the data’s are stored based on the type of masters.

2. EG1: Employee, Department, etc., are stored globally

3. EG2: Customer, Vendor, Project etc., are stored internally to the division

1. All the posted transactions of Ledger will be stored in Ledger Trans table, which holds all the
posted information’s related to ledger in AX 2009.

2. As per AX 2012 architecture the complete posting of ledger transactions has come across a
rapid change and it has been implemented by taking care of all upgrade data’s according to
the information’s present in AX 2009.

3. In AX 2009 using LedgerTrans Table to store the all ledger related transactions.But in AX 2012
LedgerTrans Table Removed and splitted into Six Tables.See Below Table..
