ZOOS ARE ILLEGAL

We should live in a place where we truly belong. Freedom and life should be experienced
by every living thing on this planet. And this is my stand that I need to share with you- zoos
should be illegal.
Every day, innocent wild animals are held in captivity for entertainment, leisure, and DNA
preservation. DNA preservation? How can we preserve those majestic animals if they are locked
up in a cage for the rest of their life experiencing depression, hunger, and going extinct every
day for DNA preservation?
Even if the intentions of zoos and other animal sanctuaries are right, there are some
instances that they cant focus on the well being of the animals. Some even put animals to a
circus for entertainment, but in some cases, many animals engaged in this kind of activities died
due to dehydration and too much work exerted in their body.
The most severe issue with zoos is that, while they do provide security and safety for a
lot of animals, they can also offer significant problems for the animals themselves. And though
they give a lot of benefits for researchers, they do come at a cost, whether it is worth the risk or
not. For many people around the world, zoos represent an opportunity to experience seeing
species that would be impossible to do otherwise. It all boils down to zoos serving a function as
an educational, entertainment and research solution, in addition to providing animals a place to
be secure.
Even livestock animals don’t deserve to be treated inhumanely. Animals have feelings too
and if they can also to talk to us, I bet they are not happy about what is happening to their kind.
We are all called to be stewards of God’s creation. There are so many ways of taking
care of these beautiful creations, and one of them is by giving them freedom and love and
attention and protection
