Experiment 1

First noted temperature = 36.15°C

Second noted temperature = 37°C (A5 experiment)

Experiment 2

Axilla temperature = 36.9°C

Antecubital temperature = 35.5°C

Axilla temp before exercise =37.4°C

Axilla temp after exercise = 37.4°C

Quest 1  The maximum thermometer measures and only registers the highest degree of
temperature in a given time, while the laboratory thermometer measures and registers the
longest measured and the last measured temperature.

Quest 2  It doesn’t show the same. 3 Minutes isn’t the enough time to measure accurately,
because the first and second measuring doesn’t show the same result.

Quest 3  The result of breathing through the mouth first is 37.15 and it’s different with A5
experiment.

Question 5:

What do you expect? Explain the difference if it is any!

Where is the location to monitor the body temperature which approximately
similar to the core temperature? Please give an explanation!
 We expect the same result as it is, the axilla temperature gives higher level degree than
the antecubital temperature. People have 2 temperature location, they are the core and
the shell temperature. Core temperature (abdomen, thorax cavity, and adjacent area
such as axilla) is endotherm, which can regulate its temperature and give a constant
value, inversely with the shell temperature (peripheral and adjacent area such as
antecubital) which is influenced by the external temperature. So the reason why axilla
temperature showed higher degree is because axilla is the area close to core
temperature that maintain its temperature than antecubital which is influenced by the
room temperature (colder).

Question 6: What do you expect? Explain the difference if it is any!
