AR V9406: PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP – II

WORK OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS -- APPROVAL OF BUILDING FOR STUDY

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
a. The Building Study for the semester is restricted to Mid Scale/Large Scale designs for Residential
(Housing / Apartments) and / or Educational campus (Institutions/colleges) and / or Industrial and /
or Commercial (Malls etc) and / or Office Buildings (IT/Financials) and / or Sports Buildings (Open
Stadiums/Indoor Sports Stadiums) and / or Health care (Hospitals) and / or Religious (Large Temple
complexes) and other community uses(Can be discussed with the mentor).
b. The choice of the building /complex should be made keeping in mind the objective of the task, i.e.,
“Study and analysis of a recent building / set of buildings of high architectural merit”.
c. The building should have been designed within the last 10 years. If still under construction, it
should be nearing completion.
d. Please give at least 2-3 proposals of which one would be approved.
e. The proposals are to be presented as an A4 sized report in the MS WORD format and to be sent via
e-mail. Use a maximum of 3 pages / case study.

NOTE: Students have to fill separately, the below format for their 2-3 proposals.

k. Reasons for Choice of Study – Please give a brief description of the building / complex, bringing out its
uniqueness and high architectural merit. Attach 3-5 images to support your contention.
