Recommendation

Consider the grains and cereals we have on the market currently and see if there are other flavors or
varieties out there that could generate more sales than our current. Make sure that you are always
stocked in beverages to prevent losing sales due to no product availability.

ANALYSIS 3 Order Year and Revenue Generated
Analysis

After reviewing the data set, the year that has generated the most revenue is 2005 with a whopping
$639,499.99. Although 2006 is not the year that has generated the most revenue it is still improvement

2006 $535,821.10
Year

2005 $639,499.99

Recommendation

Please consider comparing sales tactics management of cash flow that we used in 2005 to our current.
Seems as though there is a missing ingredient this year to 2005’s special recipe.

ANALYSIS 5

Analysis

After viewing data focused on revenues by quarter it is clear that our lowest sales happen within the 3rd
quarter of the year with $200,511.60. That is less than 50% of revenue produced by quarter 1.

I would advise that you make sure you don’t overstock during that quarter leaving products to expire and
be a loss to the company. Find out what is playing a role in the drastic difference in sales from quarter one to quarter
3.

ANALYSIS 6

Analysis

There is a huge difference between the highest revenue of $15,810 and the lowest revenue $4.8!!! I think
that will need some attention. The average revenue produced by a product is $360.00

Graph

$
Average Revenue $ 628.52
Highest Revenue $ 15,810.00
Median Revenue $ 360.00
Lowest Revenue $ 4.80
Total Revenue $1,354,458.59
Recommendations

Might want to consider setting a limit to what is deemed acceptable in relation to revenue produced. When
a product is only generating $4.80 you may want to consider eliminating that product from your market.

SELF ASSESSMENT
From completing the Excel project, I learned how to analyze raw data from an excel spreadsheet,
convert data into tables, graphs, charts, and use formulas to find the mean, maximum, minimum and
median of the data.
