6.1 Consolidating and Deepening Understanding

As your classmates are presenting their findings, use the following questions as a guide and
record what the other groups are sharing.

1. Based on each group’s investigation, have integration efforts in Singapore been


successful in integrating immigrants? What are some examples of integration efforts
in Singapore which have succeeded/failed? What were the reasons identified for the
success/failure of the integration efforts? Can you apply any concept(s) that was
learnt in Issue 2, Chapters 4 - 7 to the conclusions that were presented? What
evidence was used to support their analysis?

2. Were the conclusions of groups in your class similar or different? In what ways were
they similar or different? Why do you think this is so?
