How To Flush Your Radiator

Needed Supplies
1. Pre Mix Coolant Or Concentrate Coolant
2. 12 Gallons of distilled water
3. Screwdriver
4. Plyers
5. Drain Pan

Steps:
1. Go to your owners manual and find the type of coolant you need.
2. Go buy concentrated coolant and distilled water. It is a 1-1 mix one gallon
coolant one gallon distilled water.(This is cheaper than Pre Mix)
3. Buy the needed amount of coolant and distilled water.
4. To flush the system you need at least 10 extra gallons of distilled water.
5. Drain the radiator through the drain plug or pull the bottom hose. ( You can
find these located at the bottom of the radiator usually a small white plug)
6. Replug or reconnect the radiator.
7. Fill completely with plain distilled water and run the car for 5 minutes.
8. Drain the water.
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you run out of your extra distilled water. Should be
about 10 gallons
10. Once you are confident you have everything flushed out of the system put all
plugs back in and reconnect all hoses
11. Pour 1 gallon of concentrate coolant and 1 gallon of distilled water into your
radiator.
12. Run the car for 2 minutes to mix the coolant.
13. If your radiator is not full mix some coolant and distilled water in a bucket and
fill your radiator and engine, the rest of the way up.
14. When full the radiator should have coolant at the top and your coolant
overflow should be full.
15. Run the motor to fill the system and check your level if not full then fill.
