FADES IN STORY

The Art of Letting Go

Act 3: anywhere (at the book)
Mia: Naisip ko, it would help you move on [I just thought it would help you move on]
Ely: Move on from what?
Mia: From everything that’s keeping you from moving on
Ely: Bakit? Ano bang alam mo? Alam mo ba yung mga pinag-dadaanan ko? Hindi! So stop
acting like you know my pain, stop acting like you own it. Hindi ikaw si Celine and you will never
be Celine. [Why? What do you know? Do you know what I’ve been through? No, you don’t! So
stop acting like you know my pain, stop acting like you own it. You are not Celine and you will
never be Celine]
[Celine is dead Ely, she will never come back but until now you’re still acting that
she’s still alive.]
Ely: Nandito siya, dahil nandito siya! [She is here, because she is here!]
Mia: Kung nandyan siya nasaan ako? Anong lugar naming mga gustong magmahal sayo? [If
she is there, where is our place who wants to love you?]

Act 4: (interpreting the book with a voice over)

Almost all relationships are great in the beginning—otherwise they would have never started—
but the whole of a relationship is what it was from beginning to end. If you say that break ups
are hard, how much more in moving on. Here 5 tips that will help you and be with you in your
journey to move on.
----- Back to reality
Alex: Oh really?
----- Back to the book
1. Cut off contact
Mia: Friends?
Elly: Frie~
Narrator: *interrupts* They think being friends with your ex will help you but instead it
will make you harder to move on because you have connections. Just according to the
psychologist, keeping an ex in your life is not by itself a sign of maturity; knowing how to
take care of yourself and your emotional well-being is.
----- Back to reality
Alex: Oh well *smiles*
Alex throws away her phone
----- Back to the book

2. Let go of fantasy
Mia: *crying* It’s my fault! It was me! It was all my sin!
Narrator: Because our mind is trying to heal our heart, the painful memories often get
shifted to the background and we find ourselves remembering and longing for the good
times.
don’t jump into conclusion that you are the fault, balikan mo ang nangyari at tingnan
O may nagkamali
ngaba?

----- Back to reality

Alex: *Imagining* Sino nga ba?
----- Back to the book
3. Forget and forgive the past
Mia will be found looking at Ely’s pictures

Narrator: They say when you forgive you must also forget because it is like nothing
happened.
How come you forgive yourself when you can’t forgive others?

----- Back to reality

Alex gets the photo of Aaron and tears it and throws it at the garbage bin.
----- Back to the book

4. Recognize to still be in love

Narrator: Kahit kailan hindi nagkamali ang pag-ibig. If a man broke your heart, it must not stop
you from loving again, dahil ang love ay may kakayahang mag-iba at umikot. Let destiny take
part, and prepare your heart to love again.
Mia reads a book, bumps a guy, and the book fells.
Guy: Oh... I’m sorry
They will both pick it up, and see each other’s eyes

----- Back to reality

Alex: Eeewwww *disgusted*
----- Back to the book

5. Love yourself
Narrator: Ultimately moving on will not work unless you will not love yourself. Loving
yourself also means you can love others.
That is same in love,
you can’t love others when you’re not in love in yourself. Self-forgiveness is also a part
of self-love.
*Fade in past of Aaron and Alex*
Narrator (voice-over): Moving on isn’t easy but as the days go by you will learn to move on your
life. It is just a matter of a healing time. According to the psychologist, we need relationships
with others to see ourselves more clearly. Every relationship we have reflects back to us what
we are putting out into the world. Know that a relationship isn’t a failure just because it
ended. If you grew as a person and learned something to move your life forward, then it
served a purpose and was truly a success. Hope that this tips won’t serve as your Yes/No
checker but be a part of the journey.
