At the 42nd Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries, Reliance Jio has made an official
announcement about JioFiber broadband service. The Jiofiber services will start from 5th September this
year on a commercial basis. This service will be launched in 1600 cities in India.

The Managing Director of Reliance Jio, Mukesh Ambani also announced that customers who will opt for
long term JioFiber plans will be given free Full HD TV or 4K TV set under the plan called “Jio Fiber
Forever Plan”.

What is Jio GigaFiber?

Jio GigaFiber, now renamed as JioFiber, is the fiber to the home (FTTH) broadband service. It will

play games, work, digital shopping or stream at the highest internet speed inside their homes and let
them enjoy the ultimate digital life.

The JioFiber will provide the high-speed network speed of 100 Mbps that will go up by 1 Gbps. The
JioFiber plans will facilitate the customers with Jio Home TV and Jio’s IoT.

It will also provide free voice calling facility to any Indian operator. For international calling tariffs,
Mukesh Ambani announced that ISD tariff would be 1/5th to 1/10th of industry rates. Jio Fiber plan will
offer users the unlimited US/Canada pack at Rs. 500 per month.

Reliance Jio has mentioned that they will embark Jio GigaFiber services with at least three data plans.

One of the cheapest and basic plans will cost Rs. 500 per month to the users and it will give the internet
speed of 100Mbps with the data limit of 100 GB.

Under the second plan of JioFiber called “Triple Pay Plan”, the end-users will get the DTH service,
broadband internet, and landline service all at the price of Rs.600 monthly.
The third and the premium plan of JioFiber is expected to be of Rs. 1000 per month. This premium plan
will offer all the services mentioned above and along with it, it will also support IoT products. The above -

How to Register For JioFiber?

The official website of Jio indicates that the Jio fiber plans are available in both options, that is, prepaid
and postpaid. To register for the plan, one needs to visit https://gigafiber.jio.com/registration and fill the
required details like address, full name, and mobile number.

Here, the users will also have to pay a security deposit of Rs.4500 to get Optical Network Terminal
(ONT) device which the user will be refunded if they give up the Jio fiber broadband service.
