TOEFL® Test Day You’ve practiced hard and now you are ready for your big day.
Here is some information to prepare you for the testing experience.

2 Days Before Your Test

• Log in to your TOEFL online account and check your Registration Confirmation,
just in case a change of time or location was made at your test center.

• Be sure you have valid identification (ID) to bring with you.

The ID you bring to the test center must match the name you
used when you registered.

Test Day!

• The TOEFL test is four hours long with a 10-minute break —

make sure you eat a good breakfast and good luck!

At the Test Center

• Arrive at the test center at least 30 minutes early. If you’re late, you won’t be able to take the test!

• You must present an acceptable and valid ID. The name on your ID must match the
name you used when you registered for the test.

• Your picture will be taken and displayed at your testing station and on your
official score report. You will also have to provide handwriting and signature samples.

• You will be assigned a seat a few minutes before your start time.

• No mobile phones, personal items or food are allowed in the testing room. For other restrictions,
check the website at http://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/test_day/policies/.

• You can use the restroom at any time, but remember — the test clock does not stop when you leave your seat.

• For more details on what you can expect, including an inside look at a
test center, visit www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/test_day/expect/.
