Definition of Terms

Advance Institute of Technology - Is a school of choice where many students

are enrolled because of having a proper education system.

High technology - High technology, often abbreviated to high tech is technology

that is at the cutting edge: the most advanced technology available. The opposite

of high tech is low technology, referring to simple, often traditional or mechanical

technology; for example, a slide rule is a low-tech calculating device. The phrase

was used in a 1958 The New York Times story advocating "atomic energy" for

Europe: "... Western Europe, with its dense population and its high technology...."

Mobile technology - is a form of technology that is mostly used in cellular

communication and other related aspects. It uses a form of platform where by

many transmitters have the ability to send data at the same time on a single

channel.

Students’ Academic Performance - is the extent to which a student, teacher

or institution has attained their short or long-term educational goals . Completion

of educational benchmarks such as secondary school diplomas and bachelor's

degrees represent academic achievement.

Theoretical Back ground

Theories of technology attempt to explain the factors that shape

technological innovation as well as the impact of technology on society and culture.

For this reason, theories who take these positions typically argue for greater public

involvement in technological decision - making

Gendering Organization Theory study was discovered by Joan Acker. It

was Publish on 1992. This study is all about women and work conceptualizes in

theoretical terms of prefiminist social science. Discusses how institutionalized

practices and structures contribute to sex inequality in universities, gendered

definitions of faculty jobs and gendered limitations to knowledge in the field of

organizational studies.

Mobile Interface Theory was discovered by Jason Farman and Publish

on 2012. This study is all about the notion that mobile technologies are new is

indeed short sighted. Throughout history, when a medium that was one

understood as geographically fixed becomes mobile, a cultural shift accompanies

this transformation. Thoughts were no longer geographically specific, that is you

didn't have to travel to a particular place to read an inscription. Instead, the

inscription came to you.

Domestication Theory is discovered by Deirde Hypnes it was publish on

2019 is an approach in science and technology studies and media studies that
describes the process by which innovations, especially new technology is tamed or

appropriated by its users. The theory was initially developed to help understand

the adoption and use of new media technologies by households. It is a foremost

a social theory as it highlights the negotiations, challenges to power and control,

rulemaking and breaking that accompany the introduction of technologies into any

social setting.

Innovations and new technologies are changing the world and the daily

lives of each and of us. Many things that were mere versions of the future

yesterday are now reality. Meanwhile, we are surrounded by technology at every

moments of our lives.

In our today's modernity technology become wider every year, the diversity

of technology increase and goes into the daily lives of children that resulted in the

rapid penetration of into the daily lives. Wherever they are people surrounded with

various technologies and technological elements including smart phones, tablets,

wireless internet, TVs, video games and many more. A lot of people use technology

as our source of information and they use it as a tool for their work. Today's

students who have been growing up within a digital environment are called "digital

natives", "millennials", "the net generation" and "grasshopper minds". The concept

of this "digital native" is generally used to coin students who are born into a

technology-rich world have met technology around themselves (Oblinger &

Oblinger, 2005; Pedró, 2006; Prensky, 2001) and because of that they create their

own unique language.

Technology have both positive and negative effects in our daily lives as a

student and also as an individual.

In the negative side students now, a day are mesmerized by their smart phones

or laptops that they are blind to others around them because of that spend less

time with family and more time with different gadgets can causes the loss of tight

contacts with the relations.

Technology has weakened the relations among family members. Busy with

diverse devices, family members cannot have such convivial atmosphere as they

use to in the past. Before the invention of these devices, family members would

sit together around the table and play games together. Health problems can also

be caused by modern technology have evolved into an important problem,

especially among teenagers. Adolescents pay a high price for depending on social

networks, computer games and TV, especially when it comes to sleep. The internet

has become like the air to breath, the water to drink for children (Rich, par. 7).

This dependence seems to causes of several serious health problems such as sleep

deprivation, vision problems, cancers and so on (Technology and Health Problems,

par.). Among the most dangerous effects of technology is obesity. Being absorbed

by a laptop or a tablet, people tend to snack a lot, keep late hours and exercise

less. The more time you sit in front PC the lesser the blood circulation in your body.

Addiction to technology has also made people lazy; that is, people have

begun to pay less attention to walking and more to sitting, listening, and playing

games. (Sairam, par. 5). The computer makes such shallow and inefficient easy,
inexpensive and fun...the technology enables and encourages intellectual laziness

(Basset 75).

In the side of education, the internet has become the great tool for learning.

You can Google any information you need rather than spend time in the library or

attended the curse online without leaving home. Children sometimes overuse

technology in the classroom which obviously affect the learning process in a

negative way. Various study claim that the more students use entertainment

technologies like games or social media, the less they perform academically.

Instead of reading and doing homework, modern kids indulge in entertainment.

Technology has made our lives easier. Since, the evolution of technology

the human efforts have been reduced in every fields as it was created to meet our

wants and needs. Technology can be defined as the new and the better way of

doing things. (Theil, 2014) Technology can also have the positive effects in the

daily lives of the students it's not always negative effects because technology also

helps students to improve their daily doings.

On the positive side of technology, technologies improve the studies of the

students because of the internet. According to a study another reason why

technology positively impacts the classroom is because to motivates students to

learn. Many students are more stimulated and eager to learn when they can

interact with the hands-on learning tools that education technology provides.
According to the research done by PBS Learning Media, 74% of teachers surveyed

felt that using technology motivates students to learn. "Technology is the ultimate

carrot for students. It's something they want to master. Learning to use it

enhances their self-esteem and make them excited about coming to school.

The technology connects people, thereby it can be used as an effective tool

for gaining more knowledge. Students can use this to expand their knowledge and

learning through the help also of the technology.

Technology helps us also to strengthen the relationship keeping in contact

with old friends and even with our family member that are in abroad. Technology

also have a positive effect in our health. Technology plays a role in virtually every

parts of our lives whether we're aware of it or not. Technology have health apps

to track chronic illness and communicate vital information to the doctors and it

also have a health apps that help you track diet, exercise and mental health

information.

Technology has evolved and transformed our lives and society in many

ways. Technology become part of our lives now. It can have some negative and

positive effects but it can also offer many positive benefits and play an important

role in the student’s education, health and even in general welfare. Technology

can make our lives much easier in pretty much aspect of our lives. It is ultimately

up to us to use technology in a positive way.

Review Related Study

Technology keeps on advancing and it is becoming very essential in our lives,

everyday people Use Technology to improve on the way they accomplish specific

tasks and this is making them look smarter. Technology is being used in many

ways to simplify every aspect of our lives. Technology is being used in various

sectors. For example, we use technology in education to improve on the way we

learn, we use technology in business to gain competitive advantage and to improve

on customer care services and relationships, technology can be used in agriculture

to improve on agricultural outputs and to save time.

According to Hope Mogale a Technology Developer base on his statement

Technology is very powerful and nothing is as good as technology at improving

life. Even though this is both good on paper and on the surface, there are

drawbacks to this. Technology can affect life both positively and negatively. New

technology always changes our life very much and takes it to a new level. It is like

the new way of thinking or doing the normal things differently, better and much

faster with less hassle and at a much affordable rate. Imagine life before Electricity,

Life before the Automobile, life before the Telephone, life before the Computer,

life before the iPhone. Before those technologies’ life was much less complex but

it was at the same time very difficult to get many things done with just the twelve

hours of visible light that we are given with each day.

New Technology Improves quality of life for human beings and as a side effect it

makes it complex and have a negative effect on the environment.

Without technology life would be very difficult and behind. Technology has brought

many great things such as the ability to have light during night by using what we

call Electricity. Let us use electricity as an example, Electricity alone has taken life

on earth for human beings to another dimension. Imagine how bad your day can

be and how your life gets stuck if there is no electricity just for four hours.

Electricity is the most versatile energy source on the planet, even though we’ve

only depended on it for about 100 years now. It’s been only hundred years and

look how improved life is as compared to 5 centuries ago. So, imagine if we had

been depended on it from the very start, Life would have been very much better...

People like Newton, Galileo, Maxwell, Gauss, Kepler and others would have

developed far better tools that make life better for all human beings.

Technologies such as computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones make it easy

for human beings of today to exchange information, make faster decisions, interact

socially, get entertainment, process financial transactions efficiently, buy online,

manage homes and other existing technologies. This has made it much more

efficient to travel because cheap air tickets can be purchased at a press of a button,

an Uber cab can come collect you at your own time no more waiting. There is a
cheap way of connecting with friends and family through social media and now

you don’t have to remember people’s birthday because social media can always

remind you.

Technology unlocks life that was unimaginable. Life that only existed in people’s

dreams. As Einstein once put it imagination alone is too powerful. Technology is

the reflection of people’s imagination on solving existing problems. These problems

push human beings to transform their imagined ideas to solving these problems

into technological innovations which as a result improve life.

As his summary, New technology brings new qualities to the lives of human beings

but also has a side effect. What I have noticed is that usually human beings

tolerate this side effect for as long as it takes until that current new technology

becomes irrelevant and again new technology has to be invented. I once read

something that once said, make something that will make people believe they are

thinking and they will love you forever, but if you make something that will make

people think then they will hate you.

So, in simple words, New technology can improve life both positively and

negatively.

As a student and as an individual, technology is so useful both communicating and

other stuffs that is using a technology. As we choose this research, here are some
information and statements about technology and how it can affect the daily lives

of individual.

We are living in an era of advanced technology, where every part of our daily lives

is related to the science of craft in one way or another. There's no doubt that over

the year’s technology has been responsible for creating amazingly useful resources

which put all the information we need at our fingertips. The development of

technology has led to so many mind-blowing discoveries, better facilities, and

better luxuries, but at the same has dramatically changed our daily lives. Various

highly-developed gadgets, connected to the Internet, have changed the way we

communicate, use humor, study, work, shop, play, and behave.

According to Richard Parris, there are 6 main ways that technology impacts your

daily life and here are:

1: Improved Communication

The continuous advances in technology have led to the appearance of numerous

new methods of electronic communication, such as social networking websites,

emails, voicemails, and video conferences. These advanced communication tech

tools have helped us to eliminate time and distance as obstacles to effective

communication. This is beneficial not only to our personal relationships, but also

to education and business. Technology has improved cultural education by giving

children the opportunity to communicate with other children from different

countries and learn about different cultures.

Even though technology is beneficial to communication and allows people to stay

in touch, you need to find a balance between the cyber world and real world.

These technological advancements might be incredible and important in today's

society, but you must be careful to not lose sight of the people who are physically

around you. While communicating via social media might be fun and more

convenient, it is also harmful to our social skills. Spending quality time with your

friends and family to create memorable experiences is especially important for

happiness.

the Way We Interact

2: Improved Home Entertainment

Not that long ago, our entertainment experiences used to live in the moment they

happened, exist in our memories and find their way in old-fashioned photographs

on wall. Today, that has all changed due to the rapid growth of the Internet,

mobile connectivity, and social networks.

One of the biggest changes, for example, was the switch from videotapes to

CDs/DVDs. This enabled manufacturers to put more data onto the medium. This

meant that there were no risks of the tape coming out of the player and getting

damaged that easily, and due to the small size of the DVDs, it also meant that a

lot more could be stored in the same amount of space.

Another huge technological advance was the introduction of LCD TV. Compared to

today's LCD TVs, the previous television screens were inefficient, with lower

definition and poor quality. Today we can not only enjoy improved home

entertainment, but different types of home entertainment too: from smart TVs to

Xbox units.

Done with 4K already? How 8K TVs Will Be the Next Generation of Home

Entertainment

3: Improved Housing and Lifestyle

Housing and lifestyle have also been impacted by the modern technology. The

majority of the items that you have in your home today are automated, which

makes your life much easier, organized and safer. Thanks, in particular to the

advanced technological solutions such automated door locks, security cameras and

lighting control, our homes are now more secure than ever. Also, thanks to the
Internet, we have an easy access to all sorts of information, news, and you're able

to shop online any time of the day or night from the comfort of your own home.

4: Changed Health Industry

There's no doubt that technology is the driving force behind the huge

improvements in healthcare. The majority of the hospitals today have implemented

modern technology in hospitals and surgical rooms, which has significantly reduced

the mistakes made by doctors. The increased accessibility of treatment is also one

of the most amazing ways that technology has changed health care. Besides the

technological advancements in hospitals, there are also many health phone and

desktop apps that allow you to easily monitor your weight, heart rate, and other

health properties at any time of the day. Needless to say, the Internet is our main

source of medical information.

An increasing number of people are now using the Internet to diagnose themselves

by looking for advice from people on the Internet who have experienced the same

symptoms. There are also many suggested treatments and remedies on the web,

as well as alternative solutions. Technology has also enabled doctors to use text

messages, videos, and e-mails to consult colleagues from all over the world, which

is especially beneficial to patients and doctors that live in rural and under-

developed areas.
Track Your Health in Style with the Best Smartwatches and Fitness Trackers

5: Convenience in Education

Technology has impacted every aspect of our lives today, and education is no

exception. Technology has changed education in so many ways. First, technology

has expanded the access to education and there are huge amounts of information

(books, images, videos, audio) that are available through the Internet and that will

enable you to empower yourself with knowledge. In addition, online courses are

on the rise and most of them are free.

Modern technology has made it simple for students to learn from any place in the

world through online education. Also, nowadays students use modern technology

in classrooms in order to learn better. For example, students can use iPads to

share visual lessons, presentations, and examples with their peers. This has made

learning much more convenient and more fun, but most importantly – more

effective.

6: Convenience of Traveling
Modern transportation technology has made it easier for individuals to travel long

distances. Since transport is an important part of our lives, technology has been

regularly working on making it more efficient and quicker. The first steamship was

built in the 1770s, the first steam-powered train was built in 1798, and the modern

car was created in 1886, while the first powered, controlled flight is believed to

have taken place in 1903.

Today, we just cannot imagine life without well-developed means of transport like

cars, trains, buses, and airplanes which have become a basic need. Over the last

decade, the automobile industry is experiencing a technological revolution as the

electrical vehicles are taking the world by storm.

In conclusion, these are just a few uses of technology, technology can be used in

many other sectors, for example, you can use technology in restaurants , in

manufacturing of products , in controlling society, in quality management , use

it to enable remote working , in promoting healthy eating using web-technologies

and broadcasting technologies, u se technology in political campaigns, use it to

increase human life span, you can as well use technology in hotel and travel

business, we use also use it in transportation. The truth is that, the uses of

technology are unlimited.
