This short video is a self-introduction video. In this video, Luke Cunningham introduces
himself. He told us about his family, favorite things, and all other necessary facts related to his
personality. The main theme of this short video is to introduce himself, and how to present a self-
introduction speech. Self-introduction speeches help a person to introduce himself with a group
Explanation
This short video is the self-introduction speech of a student Luke Cunningham. The
pattern such as tone, speed, and infection of voice was perfect. At one point he used speed words
but overall the speed was good. Voice was clear and smooth and I felt no problem at any
moment even a non-English country person can easily understand this speech due to clarity of
voice and smooth speed of speaking. I did not notice that the speaker use any repetitive words.
At the start, the first 15-second show that the speaker is a little nervous but after this, he
did a nice job and does not feel any nervousness in the speaker. I noticed that the speaker moved
too much except for the last 20 seconds in this video. The body language was good and he did
not fiddle with hair, pen, and buttons. Speaker just touched his head one time and lose eye
contact 2-3 times in this video. It was very easy to follow the speaker's presentation because the
voice was clear and smooth. His speaking speed was moderate and even a non-English person
can understand it without any difficulty. Speaker started a conversation by introducing his name
speaking. He lost eye contact 2-3 times for just a moment but recovered it perfectly by giving
some expressions. It does not look like the speaker was reading a script. His attitude and body
language was good and look like speaking without any script. I don't think so speaker seems
unforgettable and unsure at any moment because he simply talked about himself. I noticed that
the speaker was not stand up straight. He was bent all-time in this video but looks confident and
also used smile at many moments this shows that the speaker was relaxed and comfortable.
If the speaker wants to present an introduction speck, I will suggest to the speaker that he
should stand up straight or sit down at the chair. He should be bent all the time like this video's
speaker. He should not lose eye contact because in presentation eye contact is the main important
thing. Luke lost eye contact 2 times when he started to watch towards the roof of the room. So all
Conclusion
Overall it was a good self-introduction speech. I will award B grade to this speech because he
was not stand up straight, moved too much in the first half, and lost eye contact 2-3 times.
