Scientific method for the paper folding experiment

1. Problem/Question:
How many times can you fold the paper?

2. Observation/Research:
What type of paper? Thick? Thin? What size!

3. Formulate a Hypothesis:
The thicker the paper, the less folds

4. Experiment:
Independent variable: thickness and size and fold in half
Dependent variable: number of folds
Start folding the paper in half until I can’t no more and then repeat two
more times.

5. Collect and Analyze Results:

Put the result in a table.

6. Conclusion:
The answer to the hypothesis, is it correct or not.

7. Communicate the Results:

Present the results to our classmate.
