3
21.03.2016

Master Control Element CP-2014

 CP-2014 is a single CPU board (no C0 CPU any

more) as the new processor is a lot faster (like
CP-2017 / CP-6014 / CP-5014) all the tasks can be
handled by one CPU (communication, functional
diagram, peripherals…)
 Increased memory like CP-2017 / CP-6014 / CP-
5014
 Also supporting SDHC Cards (higher capacity)
the memory card is accessible directly from the
front
 Toolbox Connection via serial or USB Cable
(Type A -> Type Mini B, max. 3m)

Description of Digital Governor

37 www.andritz-hydro.com

Starting the turbine governor

 Automatic start and stop of the unit

 No control of auxiliary equipment

 Signal <Turbine governor ready to start> must be set

 Start command from control system

 Opening limiter will be set to start opening

 Operation mode: speed controller

 After reaching nominal speed, speed can be adjusted with <Speed setpoint higher>
or <Speed setpoint lower> for synchronizing

 Two different modes for synchronizing

 Signals from SYN3000
 Following the net frequency

38 www.andritz-hydro.com

19
21.03.2016

Stopping the turbine governor

 Signal <Turbine stop> will be send to turbine governor

 Opening limit will be decreased

 Open generator circuit breaker

 QSD/ESD – Opening limit will be automatically set to -5%

39 www.andritz-hydro.com

Positioning
202,32%

 Done with a PD controller

 Output signal controls the main distribution valve

 Positioning loop is monitored continuously 50,00%

 <Positioning failure> occurs in case of malfunction

20
21.03.2016

Speed controller

 Done with a PID controller

 Calculates the setpoint of guide vanes

 Speed setpoint adjustable between 90-110%

Load controller (Opening and Power)

 Opening Controller
 Deviation between opening setpoint and measured value will be added to speed deviation
 Only in network operation
 Activated from control system or in local mode from turbine governor touch panel

 Power Controller
 In case of failure of power signal, governor will switch to opening controller
