Implementation of the No Assignment Policy

I.Intoduction

The No Assignment Policy was proposed by Quezon City representative Aflred Vargas &
House deputy speaker Evelina Escudero. This policy aims to enable learners to have more
quality time with their family & friends. Should the No Assignment Policy be implemented? The
No Assignment Policy should be implemented because it will allow the students to decrease their
stress in school works, it can also increase their family time & self time & it can reduce the
amount of paper works for the teachers.

II.Summary of Counterclaims

According to Basas (2019), homework teaches a student not only about the subject matter
but also good values. However this policy will allow the students to decrease their stress in doing
school works. It can also help the students to gain some rest and to be ready for the next day in
school.

According to Briones (2019), homework encourages parents to become more involved in

their children’s educational activities. However this policy will increase the “family time” and
“self time” that every students need in order for them not to feel pressured by the homework. It
can also help the students to have a quality time for themselves and to explore other things that is
knowledgeable.

According to some teachers, homework is their way to give some extra learnings and
extra points for the students. However this policy can reduce the amount of paperworks of the
teachers. It can also help them to get ready for each class they have and reduce the stress when
passing their lesson plan.
III.Conclusion

This policy can help the students to reduce their stress in the school and increase their
quality time for their family and themselves. It can also help the teachers in their lesson plans
because it will lessen their job to pass a lesson plan due to this policy.
