FAQ 1
When I run the ALSConsole for the first time and Query the license servers it shows the RULES
server as [DOWN].

If I look inside the RULES .log file I can see three lines similar to this.

2014/03/04 18:08:03 Waiting for RMS license server for expected features..
2014/03/04 18:08:04 EXCEPTION: No AVEVA204 licenses present. RULES server shutting down.
2014/03/04 18:08:04 Normal Shutdown

The RULES server at the time of release of ALS 1.2 it ONLY works with the product which uses
the license KEY AVEVA204, which is V00FN204 - AVEVA E3D Insight™.

FAQ 2
When installing a license file I get :-
An unexpected error when querying the RMS server:
Listed 4 times in the Console.log file what should I do?

This can sometimes happen on a loaded server, we have seen it happen usually on older
Windows 2003 servers. This is when the installation of the license file has queried the state of the
RMS server but has not got a reply back quickly enough.

What you can do is action the [Retry] button on the panel which appears several times until the
servers query is answered, or if the server is very slow in replying, action the [Ignore] button to
skip the query, then the license file will be installed ok.
