Impact of Technology on Teaching Performance

This chapter outlines the research design and methodology used in the study. It employed a qualitative phenomenological approach to understand the lived experiences of the respondents. The respondents were 15 senior high school teachers from ACLC College of Iriga, Inc., consisting of 7 males and 8 females. Purposive sampling was used to select respondents based on their characteristics and perceptions. A semi-structured questionnaire was used as the research instrument, which was validated through a dry run. The data collection involved distributing questionnaires to respondents and analyzing their responses.

CHAPTER III

RESEARCHER DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY


This chapter presents the research design, respondent of

the study, sampling technique, research design, validation of

the research instrument and data gathering procedure.

Research Design

This study made use of qualitative research design which is

phenomenological study wherein the primarily concerned with the

systematic reflection on the study of the structure of

consciousness. Phenomenology can be clearly differentiated from

the Cartesian method of analysis which sees the world as

objects, set of object and object acting and reacting upon one

another. In addition, Phenomenology is the study philosophical

study of the structures of experience and consciousness. In this

kind of study the research conducting phenomenological studies

are interested in the life experiences of humans. This type of

research can be applied to wide variety of situation and

phenomena.

Respondents of the Study

The respondent were the main source that made the gathering

of data easier. The respondents of this study are senior high

school teachers of ACLC College of Iriga, Inc. and the total

population is seventeen (15).

Sampling Technique

The researcher use the purposive sampling method which

enable them to choose the respondent based on the characteristic

and perception about the Impact of Modern Technologies among

Teacher on their Teaching Performance on ACLC College of Iriga

Inc.

Research Instrument

This study made use of Semi-Structured Questionnaire. The

researchers prepared a questionnaire where the respondents are

going to provide an answers. This questionnaire is composed

about the personal information/background of the respondents

including their name, age, gender, civil status. The respondents

will give their answers trough an essay from wherein they have

to explain further their answers.


Validation of the Research Instrument

To prove that instrument that used valid, the researcher

conduct dry-run at ACLC College of Iriga Inc. The sample

questionnaire were given to the selected ACLC Teacher. The

participants earned new knowledge which could help themselves in

their teaching strategies.

Data Collection Procedure

Data gathering process will soon as the questionnaire is

finalized. Then the researcher starts the actual- fieldwork. As

soon as the questionnaire are retrieved the responses of the

respondents were processed and generalize to data analysis. The

will be were extracted and analyzed based on the respondent’s

answer.
