 Apartado Antioquia ( Uraba)

Apartado is a municipality of Colombia, which is located near the Atlantic Ocean in the
Gulf of Urabá Antioquia. It is the municipality with more population, Apartadó has more
than 180,000 habitants in which we can observe different cultures like. Paisas, Costeños,
Afro descendants and many of native Indians. Also Apartadó is 310KM from Medellin city.

Uraba has a financial stability offered by the banana, plantain, corn,cassava and cocoa
plantation. The banana sector is the most important activity in the municipality. The
workers are responsible for planting bananas and collecting them when they have already
grown, the Bananeras are responsible for exporting them to the United States by
ships. Uraba has many years working with the exportation

Apartadó is also well known in Úraba for many of it great festivities such as the banana
festival, vallenato festival, coconut party and others. We also have a many variety of typical
dishes such as mazamorra, crab rice, fish soup and much more varieties of seafood. we
also have the famous bandeja paisa, we can find much more desserts like banana cake,
stuffed banana wrapped in chocolate, Panela of banana and more.

I live proud of Urabá because it is also well known for its great beaches and gulfs, many of
tourist likes to visit the region . I still feel very proud because many of great athletes has
been recognized, like the soccer player Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, the athlete Catherine
Ibarguen, we count with much more Olympic players too

For my Apartadó (Uraba) it is much more than a town, it is my cradle because it saw me
grow, many of my triumphs I brought them to the urabà region when I was a skater many
of my friends were proud.

to conclude the people of Apartadó (Urabá) will always receive you with a big smile so
much that if you ask them how much something costs they will always treat you like a king
or queen. They are also known as great workers, many of them give their lives to move the
people forward.

I hope that one day you will appreciate how much I love My People by birth, knowing him
and falling in love with Apartadó Antioquia
