Project 1 Phone
This recovery and recycling program ensures e-wastes like old mobile phones and broken chargers don't
end up in landfills. Since 2014, 22+ corporations and institutions joined the program, resulting in
500,000+ kg of e-wastes hauled. In 2017 to 2018, e-waste donations also increased by 30%.
Project 1 Phone bins are available in The Globe Tower and select Globe stores to encourage people
drop-off their e-wastes.

Globe and Hineleban Foundation engaged in a 5-year partnership in 2016 for rainforestation efforts in
Bukidnon and Lanaodel Sur, to educate the public and raise awareness about the severe state of the
Philippines' primary rainforests, which only have 1.5% of its forest cover remaining. This covers a long-
term program within Mindanao’s 6 mountain ranges, and of the targeted 300 hectares, Globe already
reforested over 120 hectares by the end of 2018.
